Mosquito Repellent Spray Packaging Design – BuzzStopper was conceptualised in the midst of Singapore’s Zika outbreak last summer, and the original brief required a simple packaging that would appeal to children as well as young adults and parents.
The most difficult part of the project was to find a visual link between his designs. Having both of them with the same adapted look could result in them appearing bland graphically.

After researching through the local and regional market, it was decided that an approach based on illustration could be a possible angle for bottle designs to be connected, supplemented with clear infographics to explain their characteristics.
Keeping the containers in a mono-color palette helped establish a consistency in effective visual language. The selection of red and orange tones was also considered so it does not dominate the neutral gray skin of rhinoceros pets.
The description panel was kept to a white backing as it is still a pharmaceutical product, so important information such as instructions for use and content ingredients had to be readable in a practical way.
